Stratus Softworks - Founder, CEO
March 2024 – Present | Durham, NC
- Led end-to-end design, development, and production roll-out of an enterprise-grade credentialing
SaaS platform, reducing client credentialing and enrollment times by 70% over manual processes using
Next.js, TypeScript, React, and AWS.
- Designed and implemented secure, scalable, Hipaa compliant workflows for provider credentialing,
practice management, and document handling.
- Designed and implemented a Hipaa compliant data vault for provider data leveraging an in-house
tokenization layer that I built.
- Salvaged critical Network Configuration Disaster Recovery project, preventing loss of major customer
contract by rearchitecting the feature, integrating it with their systems, and delivering a
functional solution 1.5 months ahead of schedule.
- Implemented the disaster recovery product within 1.5 months, building a full CI/CD pipeline and
performing rigorous testing, leveraging a very heavily async job processing flow with SQS, ECS,
Dynamo, and SNS.
- Introduced automated testing, security, and performance optimizations; added structured logging and
metrics for observability.
- Delivered multi-region, multi-stage CI/CD pipelines and established coding/infrastructure best
practices for clients.
- Led client discovery calls and technical workshops to define project requirements and strategy.
Atlassian - Software Engineer II, Confluence AI
January 2024 – January 2025 | Durham, NC
- Decommissioned and migrated legacy LLM prompt template management service with zero downtime,
refactoring code, cutting costs, and reducing latency by 400 ms on average; ensured seamless
functionality for downstream users and reduced technical debt.
- Led the multi-phase development and launch of the comments summary feature in Confluence, which
provides concise LLM-generated summaries and actionable items. This involved experimentation, A/B
testing, incorporating internal dogfooding feedback, and close collaboration with Product Managers
to iterate on the feature.
- Improved accuracy of comments summary feature from 21% to 98% by advocating for and implementing a
structured output (JSON) approach, demonstrating impact through rigorous evaluations and results.
Amazon - Software Engineer II, Healthcare User Identity
August 2022 – January 2024 | Seattle, WA
- Designed and implemented a customer Health Program enrollment page that serves all Amazon Health
Services.
- Authored a comprehensive design document for a customer account proxy service between Amazon and a
major healthcare provider, overcoming initial resistance and saving 6 weeks of development time.
- Led the launch of Amazon Pharmacy's estimated insurance pricing validation service and authored
operational standards, guidelines, and mechanisms, demonstrating effective leadership in the absence
of the Sr. SDE.
- Developed Amazon Pharmacy estimated insurance pricing validation service and infrastructure.
Developed and led integration with a downstream consumer.
- Developed an org-wide code as infrastructure framework to enforce operational standards, reduce
boilerplate code, and increase infrastructure development velocity by up to 4 weeks.
- Guided a new team in implementing coding standards, code review mechanisms, SCRUM process, and
infrastructure standards.
- Actively mentored junior engineers.
Amazon - Software Engineer, Human in the Loop ML/AI
December 2021 – August 2022 | Seattle, WA
- Served as the engineering point of contact for a commercial pilot program, resolving technical
issues. The pilot program generated approximately one hundred thousand dollars in revenue.
- Implemented infrastructure and integration tests for a new AWS SageMaker GroundTruth VPC feature.
- Patched Log4J vulnerabilities in multiple Mechanical Turk legacy services.
- Patched bugs in AWS SageMaker GroundTruth Plus worker task count feature.
- Reduced the number of tickets in the on-call queue by approximately 600 tickets.
- Participated in routine on-call rotation.
- Mentored an intern who successfully completed their project early, contributed to AWS SageMaker
GroundTruth Plus prototype, and received a return offer.
InfoTrust - Software Engineer
April 2021 – December 2021 | Seattle, WA
- Collaborated on developing, delivering, and maintaining Node.js and Java solutions with one other
engineer, successfully launching full-stack products for several Global 100 clients.
- Architected, developed, and delivered Node.js solution for Global 100 client that improved
performance over existing solution by ∼200x.
- Improved the performance of an internal web application by 10x through refactoring algorithmic
inefficiencies and SQL queries.
- Developed micro-service in Node.js for an internal task processing system, leveraging existing
services in the Google Cloud Platform such as App Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Cloud
Scheduler, and Cloud Pub/Sub.
- Developed scripts to automate workflows on various platforms (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager,
etc.) utilizing the appropriate Google APIs.
